This American Advertising Award-winning book was created to explore new mediums and show off a classic font, the Franklin Gothic. The book is an acrylic covered book that shows off the clean lines of the original ATF font. This project required me to design something that would work in a tactile 3D form, while also producing the desired look on the cover.
This book was a learning challenge. I needed to make the book sturdy enough to hold up as a coffee table book while doing all of my own laser cutting and binding for it. At the end, it has become one of my favorite pieces, not because of the actual product, but because of the learning and experimentation that was part of the process.
